Antiparos is west of Paros island to which there is connection by boat. In ancient times Antiparos was called Oliaros. To visit Antiparos you will either take the ferry-boat from Paroikia or from Pounta.

The settlement of Antiparos, next to the scenic harbor- also know as Kastro – is a picturesque settlement which is spread around the Venetian fort of which some parts are still preserved. The settlement has an intense Cycladic style with narrow whitewashed streets, flowers in the yards, picturesque churches and hospitable inhabitants.

If you haven’t visited Antiparos you will be impressed by the laid back pace of the island and you will be surprised by the interesting choices it provides from morning until dawn.

Antiparos in proportion to its size has a large number of beautiful beaches, most of which you can discover by vehicle, such as the beaches of Agios Spiridon, Psaralikes, Sifneikos yialos, the beach of Sorou, the beach of Agios Georgios, etc. Depending on your mood you can choose absolute secluded beaches or others with beach bars and equipment for water sports.

Antiparos offers itself for local excursions to the surrounding small islands. One excursion that you should include in your travel plans is a visit to the cave of Antiparos which can be found on the Southeastern side of the island on the hill of Agios Ioannis at a height of 350 meters above sea level. In the interior of the cave there are impressive stalactites and stalagmites and it is considered as one of the most significant caves of Europe.

Do not miss enjoying the sunset from the beach at Sifneiko.

At the numerous traditional tavernas and restaurants you can enjoy fine food (mezedes) and tsipouro of Antiparos and you can continue your evening at the bars of the settlement.
